Becky is the current British Senior Champion for the second year running.
Becky is an artistic gymnast and started training when she was just 7 years old at Bigwood Gymnastics Club. Placed 3rd at her first regional competition Becky decided to move to Notts Gym Club. She won her first British title when she was just 12 years old and competed in her first International aged 13.
Becky competes on four pieces of apparatus - Vault, Bars, Beam and Floor and at present trains 30+ hours a week, which involves early morning sessions before school and afternoon/evening sessions after school.
Having already fulfilled three of her main ambitions which were to compete in the 2006 commonwealth games (youngest member of the England team), 2007 World Championships and the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Becky now has her mind set on competing for Great Britain in the London 2012 Olympics. Her main ambition is to improve on her all around position of 12th in the Beijing 2008 Olympics, which is the highest ever result for a British gymnast.
Becky is the current British Senior Champion for the second year running taking the Senior all-around, Beam, Bars and Floor title’s at the 2009 Women’s Artistic British Gymnastics Championships in July, a fantastic achievement at just 17 years old.
Becky’s unique ability to excel at all disciplines makes her an exciting prospect for London 2012.
