Helen Jenkins was the 2008 World Triathlon Champion and is a Great British prospect for London 2012
After a couple of years of injury problems, Helen Jenkins announced her return to fitness with an amazing six weeks of racing: 2nd place at Madrid WC (and Olympic qualification), winning the ITU World Championships and 3rd place at Des Moines, Iowa WC. She finished 2008 ranked World No. 3.
2009 saw the introduction of the new ITU World Championship Series. Helen’s good results continued with top 5 finishes in Washington and Kitzbuhel, and podium performances in London (Hyde Park) and the WCS Grand Final. She also won the prestigious London Triathlon.
One of the nicest young ladies you could meet, Helen married her long term partner (and coach), Marc Jenkins, in the US in November 2008.
