Date of Birth:
30 April 1990 (19)
Sport:
Triathlon
Home Town:
Leeds
Current Address:
Leeds

Jonathan is the equally talented, younger brother of Alistair and a 2012 hopeful.

Being introduced to the sport and being able to train with his elder brother Alistair, has given a Jonathan a great start in the sport.  Swimming, cycling and running with the current World Champion has certainly been an advantage, and Jonathan is recording times which are better than Alistair’s were at the same age.

Bradford Grammar school educated and now reading History at Leeds Metropolitan University, Jonathan has won every title available to him at Youth and Junior level at both Triathlon and Duathlon.  Also, unsurprisingly, he has followed the family tradition of excelling at Cross Country and still finds time to support Leeds United and Rhinos.

Jonathan started the year by winning the Australian Youth Olympics in impressive style and continued that good form through the summer picking up the European Junior title, as well as competing at a couple of Senior races in Kitzbuhel and London.

In his final race as a Junior, the World Junior Championships in Australia, Jonathan claimed an impressive Silver.

His focus is now on impressing in the Senior ranks with the ultimate target of success at the London 2012 Olympics.
