Etihad Airways creates World’s largest MCFC shirt

Etihad Airways, national airline of the UAE and the main sponsor of Manchester City Football Club has created the World’s largest Manchester City Football Club shirt to highlight the support for Manchester City FC within Abu Dhabi. The giant shirt is over 20 meters long and 15 meters wide.
It has been taken around various locations in Abu Dhabi to enable local supporters of Manchester City FC to show their support and sign the shirt. Thousands of signatures have been collected which has filled the lower section of the shirt. Many fans have written messages of support for the team in their upcoming 2010/11 season.
The giant shirt visited various venues across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi including:
Emirates National School, Abu Dhabi -26th May
Al Jimi Mall, Al Ain - 17th to 19th June
Summer In Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre - 1st to 3rd July
Khalidiya Mall, Abu Dhabi - 15th to 17th July
The giant shirt will be presented to the fans of Manchester City FC in the UK at the first home game of the season at half time of when Manchester City FC take on Liverpool FC on 23rd August.
