Nicola Adams Receives MBE

Congratulations to PSG Olympic Gold medallist Nicola Adams who attended Buckingham Palace today to collect her MBE award. Nicola gave an outstanding performance at London 2012 where the Leeds flyweight out-classed Ren Cancan to win.
Nicola made history at the games, becoming the first Female Boxer to win an Olympic Gold medal and this has been recognised by the sporting honours committee who decide which athletes should be appointed this honour. On attending the palace today, Nicola stated, “It has been an incredible year, to have achieved so much in that time, it really is hard to put into words how amazing this year has been – I have won Olympic gold and met the Queen”.
2012 was an incredible year for Nicola and as she enters the next stage of her career, she aims to continue on the road to Rio and become double Olympic champion.
