Tom Daley, 15 year old World Champion is nominated for the Laureus Awards alongside Button and Cavendish

World Diving Champion, Tom Daley has been shortlisted for the prestigious 2010 Laureus World Sports Awards taking place this week in Abu Dhabi.
Tom will go head to head with fellow Brits Jenson Button and Mark Cavendish who are all shortlisted for the World Breakthrough of the Year Award. The winners will be announced during a television ceremony, with past audiences reaching over one billion viewers.
Tom became the nation’s youngest world champion when he surprised the diving world by winning the individual 10m platform at the World Championships just two months after his 15th birthday. He went on to be crowned BBC Young Sports Personality last December for the second time in his career.
