Las Colinas Golf & Country Club named Spain's leading villa resort once again
Las Colinas Golf & Country Club has been named as Spain's Leading Villa Resort at the World Travel Awards for the second year running.
Voted for by the public, the World Travel Awards look to support, promote and develop the global travel & tourism industry by recognising and rewarding excellence.
The Leading Villa Resort category seeks to reward resorts that offer the perfect combination of world-class facilities but also provide leisure attractions and services that complement the state of the art property on site.
At the lavish ceremony in Sardinia over the weekend, Cristóbal Guerrero, General Manager at Las Colinas Golf & Country Club commented: "To win such a prestigious title for the second year running, in such a competitive category, is a wonderful achievement for everyone involved with Las Colinas. Huge thanks must go to all the staff who work tirelessly to ensure the highest standards are met at our resort, and of course thank you so much to everyone who voted for us."
The resort, located south of Alicante in 330 hectares of Mediterranean woodland, has become a leader in attracting international leisure visitors and second-home owners to the region since its opening in 2010.
Marketing & Residential Director at Las Colinas owners Gmp, Silvia Llanes, also commented "2016 has been a standout year for Las Colinas with an extra 64 apartments and 36 detached villas built, due to such increased demand. Year on year Las Colinas goes from strength to strength, it's certainly an exciting time and we look forward to hopefully many more successes in the future."
For sale at the club are modern two, three and four bedroom apartments and villas with large gardens or terraces, parking and green areas with communal or private swimming pools. Apartments start at €270,000, with villas starting at €490,000.
The resort boasts Spain's Best Golf Course (World Golf Awards 2015), managed by Troon and is one of Continental Europe's top 100 courses. With tennis and paddle tennis courts, nature trails through 200,000 square metres of natural space and an International School of Falconry, there truly is something for everyone at Las Colinas.
Where the resort has also truly excelled is in its gastronomy offerings of the highest quality. The UNiK CAFÉ and enso sushibar ensure that visitors and home owners alike benefit from real culinary delights, and the Beach Club overlooking the Mediterranean provides an ideal spot to unwind.
With the sheer number of highest quality offerings at the resort, the title of Spain's Leading Villa Resort for the second year in a row, once again establishes Las Colinas Golf & Country Club as one of Europe's most premium of destinations.
